AS FOR WHY THE URGENCY

Recently there has been established a 'British/English' National Opposition to Windmills (NOW) which has been much prompted by MAP who in much they do seem to see the issue of the 'Windmilling of Wales, inc our ancient 'Gwledydd Brenhinol' of Powys as merely a matter in main about Pylons. Myself, have no doubt that if it was decided to lay cables from Canol Cymru Windmill Plantations into England much of MAP support would melt away as if'Snowballs in Hell'. It will be interesting to see how MAP and other similar Green/Renewables' Anti - Windmill Campaigns in Cymru will now fit in with this 'British/English' NOW which we see as being in the main worried about a great deal as would similar campaigns in England be more concerned about the Countryside and a threat to a nice peaceful rural 'Good Life' retreat that the 'Industrialisation By Windmills of Mass Destruction' brings with it. They, inc MAP and other Anti - Windmill Campaign Groups in Cymru certainly, maybe CMS too? Such do not see this Issue as a 'Welsh' National Issue of our Exploitation by Renewables Robber Barons, the 'New Conquistadores' of Cheque Book Conquest and 'Green Imperialist Carpet Bagging Colonialism' with but one purpose to make of our country CORPORATE COLONY CYMRU. Under the sway of Tyrrany and Oppression of  Windmill Masters as in the past we have had to suffer a 'Rape of the Fair Country' by the well known Copper, Iron, Coal and Slate Masters also the 'Land Masters- of British Army Land Grabbing at Epynt and else where as at Penyberth. Not least known to our present generation are the Wood Masters, Water Masters and now the Windmill Masters?

What I find, ironic is that all those Anti - Windmill Campaigners, leading lights of 'Letters to the Press', the 'Media Munchers' on the Windmill Issue in Wales. As usefull as that has been in keeping many with an interest in reading letters to the press so well informed. They not least referring to 'Remember Tryweryn' and Brwydr Hyddgen' as often useing to their arguements and cause, I consider useing Glyndwr's name in vain when they have all been so reluctant to establish like he a National Struggle Against Robber Barons' in the interest of our country and all it's peoples, note I did say all it's people. I am not such a 'Narrow Nationalist' or has recently described for sticking up for Cymru and percieving our struggle a national one, even 'Nationalist'. For this I have recently been called a 'Fanatic' and associated with the 'National Front', yes quite unbelieabe as is now one of these distractors Geoffry Sinclair, he who remarked along the lines, that we were somehow 'backwoodsmen' for referring to Conquest 1282 etc. He now comes out to complain about this MAP/NOW being 'Too Welsh' does that make him a 'Fantatic' and sound a bit like the 'English Defence League' in Wales? Whatever, given what he has said and I am sure he will not be the only one involved in Anti - Windmill Campaigns in Wales who thinks the same. However, I am just wondering if this is a clever ploy by supporters of the 'British' NOW to make us believe that they really do hold 'Welsh Interests' central to their core beliefs and to fore in the 'Brit' NOW Campaign. I say this because for over a month we have criticised MAP and it's 'Brit' NOW ambitions, whilst we have proposed the setting up of a Welsh Organisation Against Windmills, maybe for short 'WOW' would'nt that be a good thing, realistic and rightful in seeking to make the 'Windmilling of Wales' an issue to be a 'WELSH NATIONAL ISSUE'.

Please note, all those both Cymry and all who have settled here, we invite you to come 'Bury Your Hearts on 'Stryveland' over 8 - 10 June 2012. To this end we further invite all Anti - Windmill Campaigns to delegate a speaker to make speech at the Stryveland Memorial 1282 - 1334 'Trig' on Mynydd y Betws, this note will be a non - Ploitical gathering transparent and inclusive to Windmill Campaign Issues. Whilst, there will be a political Patriotic Rally at just above the Cross Roads beneath Penlle'r Gaer. Both will be at 2 - 3:00 pm and both events will conclude with short walks along the fences of this Windmill Plantation seperatly untill joining at the 'Red Gates' that provide access across this Windmill Plantation. There will also be a symbolic 'Betws Baricade' to the Windmill Plantation, in which all may volunteer as personal choice to participate in.

NOW OR WOW!!!!

Some Interesting Information To Help You Make Up Your Mind.

Emails recieved from various sources:

A new national body opposing all forms of wind power will be launched at the Houses of Parliament at an event sponsored by Lord Carlile, the Liberal Democrat peer and former Montgomeryshire MP.

National Opposition to Windfarms, or Now, says it will oppose windfarms "by tackling policy" and will be "a source of collective knowledge and strategic help" for anyone campaigning against the building of wind turbines. Now's website includes a six-point charter setting out why it opposes wind power.

The campaign group was formed following calls for a "national voice"against windfarms at a conference organised by Conservation of Upland Powys last September, which was attended by anti-wind campaigners from across the country.

Alison Davies, the chair of Conservation of Upland Powys, said: "There was a very strong feeling at that conference that we needed to work nationally. The Now charter has since been developed by people that include representatives of National Alliance of Wind Farm Action Groups [Nawag] andCountry Guardian and is based on indisputable facts. Every effort has been made to ensure that everything in the charter is evidenced based."

The Guardian has seen emails exchanged between Nawag members sent over the past few months discussing the planning for Now. One exchange was about a suitable anthem for the group. Jerusalem and Blowin' in the Wind featured as favourites, but one member suggests alternative lyrics for the Dad's Army theme tune, Who do you think you are kidding, Mr Hitler? including a reference to the recently installed energy secretary Ed Davey: "Who do you think you are kidding Mr Davey/If you think this country's done/We are the Now Group/We will stop your little game/No more wind turbines/That blight our hills and planes.["Should be PLAINS !" says Lyn]

One recipient responded: "Love it … who needs Handel to write their anthems. Being German he would probably have been in favour of the things anyway. Good job [Chris] Huhne has gone. One syllable just would not work." Alison Davies denied Now would have an anthem and said the email "should just be put in the bin". But she added that Now was seeking a celebrity to act as a public face of the group.
In another email exchange, the group acknowledges there may be divisions between those who only oppose turbine developments on land and those who want to oppose all wind power. "We also accept that some people are happy with off-shore wind development, others with windfarms in remote upland locations and others with the single turbine on a brown field site. Now will probably not accord with the views of these groups or individuals."

Lord Carlile, who sits on Now's 10-person steering group and who is sponsoring the group's launch which is expected to be attended by up to 40 MPs and peers, said: "I hope Now will be instrumental in preventing the industrialisation of our best landscapes by campaigning in a united and organised fashion. It is a group of like-minded people aiming to bring together various campaigns into a national structure. We will use all proper and lawful campaigning techniques. There will be meetings, media articles, events and we will support objections to planning applications across the board."

This response is written with a heavy heart. In a nutshell – a disappointing, poorly-thought–out, ill-expressed and half-baked effort which could – and should - have been much better. I can’t understand why the NOW website isn’t more explicit in setting out who the leading lights are and more about what it intends to do and how. I presume all this information must be available somewhere. If I wanted to sign up to any sort of campaign like this I would want to see far more information of that sort. There is far too much emphasis on Wales and far too little on the UK dimension. I dare say there is far more behind the so-called ‘Charter’ than is made public, but if it aims to tackle policy (a strange and rather gung-ho phrase even if a laudable ambition) I would have though that a more factual analysis of the shortcomings of present policy would have been necessary to attract serious support, and a more tangible indication of what policy reforms it intends to promote. I fully accept that there is room for an organisation willing and wishing to do this, but it just does not send out messages of a suitable calibre. Surprising, really, given the experience of some of those involved.

...And Again:

I've never forgotten  that this country is the "United Kingdom of Great Britain AND  Northern Ireland "  and that UK wind stats include Northern Ireland .

However, WHERE  are the voices of protest from there in the Press ?

Ulstermen really know how to make a noise politically....but there has been  NIL protest about   Ulster wind turbines  in the London Press.

Aberdeenshire protestors may have all their wind turbine details.......but their   wind turbine protests  are  also INVISIBLE  in the London Press.

When do we read....or hear from......either Scotland or Northern Ireland ?

It's a wonder that no-one in Ulster has used spare "jelly"  from the Troubles to eliminate wind turbine noise !!
