SAD TMES , MADE EVEN SADDER NOW WITH THIS NEW LUNACY 'PORTHCAWL REGENERATION PLAN'.

WHEN THIS LATEST ASSEMBLY TREACHERY BECOMES MORE WIDELY KNOWN, LIKE MYSELF, THERE WILL BE THOUSANDS OUT THERE WITH FOND MEMORIES OF CONEY BEACH FUNFAIR. IT HAS BEEN THERE SINCE THE 1920'S AND DURING THE WORKERS HOLIDAYS IN THE SUMMER, TRAIN AFTER TRAIN WOULD BRING WORKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES FROM THE VALLEYS TO PORTHCAWL AND AN EISTEDDFOD WOULD BE HELD ANNUALLY. THEN, THE WESTMINSTER GOVERNMENT DECIDED TO END ALL TRAIN SERVICES TO PORTHCAWL WHICH IS WHEN PEOPLE BEGAN TO CAMP OR BRING CARAVANS TO THE TRECCO BAY AREA.
THE THATCHER REGIME THEN CLOSED DOWN THE COAL INDUSTRY IN THE VALLEYS AND THOSE THAT HAD SOME SORT OF A REDUNDENCY PAY INVESTED IN BUYING A MOBILE HOME TO KEEP AT TRECCO BAY SO THAT THEIR FAMILIES COULD STILL HAVE A HOLIDAY THERE AND ENJOY THE FUNFAIR.
AND NOW, THEY ARE TO BE DEPRIVED OF THAT FOR THE SAKE OF CAPITALISM! SO, HOPEFULLY, THOSE FAMILIES AND THOUSANDS MORE THAT HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF HOLIDAYING IN PORTHCAWL AND, WHO LIVE IN THE TOWN WILL SAY...NO, NO, NO...NO WAY!
