Conservation of Upland Powys has been informed that Abnormal Indivisible Loads (AILs) for wind farms will be trialled within Wales over 3 days next week....Tuesday 8th, Wednesday 9th and Friday 11th May.
These are test runs done to identify the transport issues or pinch-points which exist along the chosen route. The vehicles will be carrying lightweight frames representing the maximum lengths, heights and widths of the turbine components that would be have to be transported to the windfarms (ie. long slender blades or wide turbine tower sections).
Please rally to print and distribute leaflets (see attached), so residents can be alerted to these loads and be able to witness them. Forward this message to anyone you may know.

The 3 trials are detailed below. These routes will be run with the vehicle extended to full AIL size and then minimised at points where it is too large to pass. Eg low bridges
Tuesday 8th/Wednesday 9th May – Loads bound for the Nant y Moch and Mynydd y Gwynt windfarm sites, being trialled by a Dutch transport company.
1) Starting at 6am – leave Swansea Docks on M4, A48, A40 to Carmarthen, Narberth, Cardigan; passing through Llanon after 9am.
A487 from Cardigan to Southgate (Aberystwyth), right past Morrisson’s. Right onto A44 through Ponterwyd towards ‘Sweet Lamb’.
2) From Caersws, past Llanidloes and through Llangurig to Sweet Lamb & Ponterwyd
Friday 11th May – Loads bound for the Llaithdu windfarm site.
3) Between 8 –9am test run under Crossgates bridge (!)
They will then collapse the vehicle to travel to Bronllys (as a normal sized heavy goods vehicle) at which point the vehicle will be extended again.
Test run then continues from Bronllys, through Llyswen, through Llandrindod and on to Llaithdu.
This assumes they managed the Crossgates bridge earlier.
**IMPORTANT EVIDENCE **********
There will be many pinch/pressure points along the route. The witnessing of these trial loads is very important and will provide useful evidence for the campaign.
Please film and photograph these loads, especially at pinch/pressure points, any damage/danger and traffic congestion and tailbacks. Count cars in tailbacks, etc.

Should any windfarms receive planning permission the level of disruption from these test runs gives a foretaste of what we could expect if a whole windfarm should be constructed

3: Last time a call like this came our way it was directly, sent by Cllr Ioan Richards who explained to us that he could not do anything because he wanted/was? to be Mayor of Swansea and this I guess would be against him for some obscure reason? Whatever, Sian and I toddled off to Poster up the entrence to Swansea Docks, anyone else around, certainly not Ioan who only lives up the road, nor anyone else for that matter. Sure, no 'A-C.N's in sight, only those 'Two Nationalists' the 'Nimbies' seem to fear for some reason and do not want to work or associate with? Most Radical Nationalists slagg off these 'Nimbies' as being just a bunch of 'Good Life White Settlers' who do not want their nice rural Cymru retreats disturbed nor their house prices devalued. I have actually defended they from such 'Narrow Nimby Definitions' as doubtful diatribes that are not always true and serve no purpose other than to 'Devide and Rule'. That's not what I have been saying but now, I am coming over to the oppinion that is in part a truth maybe? They have no real substantial sustainable 'Welsh/Wales View' seeing it as a Wales National Campaign Against the making of our Country 'CORPORATE COLONY CYMRU'. Whereas I and our 'Stryvelander' Partisans and other Patriots do, full stop! So, do I support this call to action? well yes I do and echo the call to Patriots to also support and do what they can as requested plus! June 19, 2007: Plans for the 16 wind turbines on Mynydd y Betws near Ammanford have been given the go-ahead by Carmarthenshire County Council.
More than 500 people along with neighbouring councils objected to the windfarm on Betws mountain, claiming it would spoil the countryside.
The turbines are due to be mostly between 270m - 320m (885ft - 1,050ft) above sea level.
Councillors were told that the scheme conflicted with some of the local authority's policies, on landscape and environment, amenity and open space.
After the meeting, council head of planning Eifion Bowen said: "The application was considered carefully by the planning committee who visited the site and heard directly from objectors to the scheme.
"Whilst recognising its significant impact on the landscape, the committee recognised its obligation to meet Welsh assembly targets for renewable energy generation and the reduction in carbon emissions.
"The consent is subject to a number of conditions to mitigate some of the effects of the scheme."
So, there you go? In conclusion I am not going into action. I was in action all day Sunday on Mynydd y Betws postering up Windmill Plantation Fences. Over coming days for me it will be hours of work bringing blogs up to date, also fb stuff plus I have email/letters to send out inviting speakers from Patriotic and otherwise Nationalist, Republican and Socialist groups. Not least to Anti - Windmill Campaign Groups, I am not as they one to 'B/B' or otherwise oppose their views be they 'Nimbies', be they 'cambrians' or 'Guest Residents'. As far as I am concerned you all got to get your act together and I do not intend to moderate my views or language. That goes for Plaid Cymru members in particular and 'Cultural Nationalists' alike also as far as 'Anglos' are concerned, well that 'Guest Resident' status can be changed very quickly and simply as many English Colonists did in Cenedl Glyndwr. They came over fully to the cause of Owain Glyndwr a Welsh Nationalists fighting in a National Cause, all you got to do is the same and recognise that Wales is in the first of it 'CYMRU EIN GWLAD but it can be yours too! Now, I am not a 'racist' and am certainly not one to rabbit on about 'Mewnlifiad', I blame 'Y Crachach Newydd' as much for the Cultural Decline in Rural Cymru - 'Pura Wallia' as much as I do the English Government and it's WAG Puppet Parliament in Bae Caerdydd. so, I suggest all envolved in local Anti - Windmill Campaigns consider an 'Home Truth', that when it all gets really tough and your support melts away like snow it will be Radical Patriots and Partisans who will still be at the Patriotic Frontline and standing in the gap or rather a great many gaps!
